World Hope Ukraine

World Hope Ukraine has been working with World Hope Canada since 2001 to help improve the life opportunities of at-risk youth in Odessa. World Hope Ukraine has launched and operated a number of interesting projects together with World Hope Canada.

The First Step Centre is a drop-in centre for street youth in Odessa. The centre provides the youth with daily meals, washrooms and a shower, morality lessons, advocacy, medical care and individual attention to these children, some of whom are as young as 6 years old.

Hope House is a transition home for these young women, helping them get established in life after leaving orphanage care. Preparing these young women for independent living is one method of preventing these girls from being sex trafficked.

Cross Roads Youth Clubs are initiated and run by World Hope Ukraine and supported by volunteer groups from North America. The groups run the summer camps in near by villages, teaching activities and sports. The intention of the camps is to build relationships with the kids, provide kids with fun and creative ways to spend their leisure time, and to reach vulnerable youth populations before they end up living on the streets.

World Hope Ukraine has and will continue to work hard and seek new and creative ways to reach out to Odessa's at-risk youth population.
